The launch of The Master Chief Collection was horrible. Microsoft has finally started to issue compensation for players for all the trouble, by sending out free codes for Halo 3: ODST’s campaign.
Any who logged on to their Xbox Live account and played the Collection between November 11, 2014 and the 19th of December 2014 are eligible for an in-console message, containing the code.
To those who don’t qualify, you’ll have to pony up $4.99. You can find everything under the Halo 3 ‘Campaigns’ main menu. Running at 1080p with 60 fps, it is a nice apology, but it does not include the widely desired Firefight game mode.
Microsoft isn’t done, the Remnant multiplayer map from Halo 2 has been added, and is free to all players, which also runs in 1080p/60fps. There have also been 100 new achievements added to the Collection for the ODST campaign and Remnant map.
