You probably got word of LG announcing its latest Android beast at Lincoln Center in New York City earlier today: the LG G2. Having already made a name for itself on the domestic front with the Nexus 4 and Optimus G Pro, the company’s looking to create some buzz heading into the back-to-school and holiday buyers season, and the G2 should definitely help the cause—standing out as the first smartphone to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor.
Other notable specs on the G2 include a 5.2-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) display, quad-core Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. From what we’re seeing thus far via benchmark scores, this thing is a beast on the performance end. Then again, that’s to be expected from a Qualcomm chip.
The LG G2 will be available on four major US mobile carries and roll out onto over 130 wireless carriers worldwide in the next two months.
