Its absence from this year’s Halloween film releases proves the Paranormal Activity series has lost tons of steam. The fourth film failed to impress critics and moviegoers, forcing Paramount Pictures to think of another way to reboot the supernatural horror franchise. So the studio decided to create a spin-off, The Marked Ones, which focuses on a Latino family living in the urban streets of California. Will Katie and Kristi be tied to the story or will we see a new force come into play? Only one way to find out.
