Nippon Ichi RPG’s are the epitome of niche and Cross Edge proves to live up to the title. Working for four other gaming publishers (Capcom, Namco Bandai, Gust, and Idea Factory), this game combines story elements and characters from popular franchises (Darkstalkers, Disgaea, Mana Khemia, and Spectral Souls) and presents hardcore gamers with the ultimate wet-dream strategy title. Nippon Ichi’s always been infamous for their battle systems and they’re new hybrid battle system will only make your experience even more satisfyingly difficult.


Atlus’ baby is all about taking RPG’s back to the fundamentals. The time when fantasy storylines, simplistic battle systems and hand-drawn graphics made role-playing more engaging. Not to say they aren’t these days, but nothing beats the classics.  Crimson Gem Saga balances the old with the new, incorporating a brand new storyline with old school gameplay. The Critical Combo System allows gamers to pull off crazy combo chains, inflicting damage to a severe degree.
