Square Enix Producer Franko Fonseca gives us a quick rundown on the international MMORPG smash: WAKFU. The Ankama-developed title combines the tactical gameplay of Final Fantasy Tactics and anime art style of Disgaea to bring together an all-new massive-multiplayer online experience.
WAKFU offers 14 distinct and customizable character classes, plus features a deep political and combat system that works hands-in-hand with an ever-changing ecosystem. Battle nations, run for governor, and manage and harvest resources—Square puts the power in your mouse-driven hand.
Set for a US release this February, gamers can purchase premium content subscriptions for $6 per month. The beta is closed for now, but Tactics lovers should definitely have WAKFU on their gaming map early 2012. Here’s our exclusive hands-on coverage.
