Toshiba assures its consumers that the wait for their first Blu-ray recorders and new TV with built-in Blu-Ray player will soon be abrupt. This is “old news” for the folks in Japan, but this is the first time Toshiba has brought such a project to a global scale market. Of course, all new tech enhancements has its pros and cons. Perhaps a recording function would have been sweet, but on this TV you can only watch Blu-rays.
Two models of Toshiba’s Regza will be released simultaneously, a 32-inch and a 26-inch. The only advantage the 32-inch poses against the smaller one, is a contrast ratio of 4,000:1 and 10W×2ch speakers, while the ladder features a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and comes with 5W×2ch speakers. Both go on sale in Japan next month: $1,400 for the 32-inch model and $1,200 for the 26-inch. As for the leak on international sales? No one knows.
