FitBit Flex
Workout buffs should reconsider passing on the Nike+ Fuelband in favor FitBit’s new fitness band. The reengineered activity tracker syncs in real time with all iOS and new Android devices, monitoring all fitness (and sleep) movement, while displaying a user’s progress and met goals via LED lights. Android users can also enjoy the additional perk of pairing the device with any NFC-enabled phone.
Intel North Cape Ultrabook Convertible
Intel captured the interest of every ultrabook and tablet geek at the Las Vegas Convention Center the moment it showed off its new reference convertible. The detachable Windows 8 tablet hybrid is powered by the chipmaker’s new Haswell processors and features a vibrant 13-inch, 1080p display with keyboard dock that supports strong tactile feedback. Design-wise, the codenamed “North Cape” provides a unique latching mechanism that utilizes a magnet wire to remove the tablet. Though the Intel’s made it known that the device is only meant to “inspire OEMs,” it hasn’t left out the possibility of hardware manufacturers adopting its cutting-edge design. That’s your cue Asus.
