3. “It seemed like a good idea at the time.”
Film: Live Free or Die Hard
The end of the fourth film has Gabriel clutching onto McClane at gunpoint, while John’s daughter remains hostage and he forces Ferrell to finish his hack. Unaware of the concept of “what goes in, must come out,” Gabriel presses his weapon into his victim’s wound, forcing McClane to pull the trigger and shoot himself, thus putting the same bullet through the rogue agent. Taking a hot slug just to save your little princess proves this is one tough SOB.
2. When Chopper Meets Police Car
Film: Live Free or Die Hard
The cyber terrorists get wind of McClane and Ferrell’s whereabouts and send a chopper to finish the job, which leads to an insane car chase scene through DC. In one instance he drives over a fire hydrant at just the right moment to knock one of the baddies out of the chopper. Impressive. Next he’s trapped in a tunnel with cars darting at the duo. Yea, been done before. But getting fed up and driving a DC metro straight at the chopper while being shoot at, finding an incline, and then launching it in the air for a direct hit? Priceless. Who would of thought to use a cop car as a tomahawk missile? Oh wait, John McClane.
