Going Big on Health
Rumored for several months, Apple’s first real foray into the smart health sector will come in the form of the HealthBook app. All the biometric data will live in silos that can be accessed through a secondary app called (what else) Health. This will allow the iPhone to analyze, record, and track fitness levels, along with a variety of metrics. Apple says the initiative will work with companies like Nike. Another extension to its well-being efforts is HealthKit, a new program that works with healthcare providers to deliver real-time info on patient vitals.
