X-Men: Days of Future Past
Release date: May 23, 2014
The biggest Marvel film due out this year left the Vegas crowd yearning for more, as Fox showed a three-minute clip of the dystopian future with drop ships releasing sentinels onto a destroyed city where the last X-Men survivors are seen hiding in an underground bunker. After being alerted of the threat, several members including Blink, Bishop, Colossus, Kitty Pride, Iceman, Sunpot, and Warpath prepare to fight. An awesome battle supposedly takes place where the X-Men are attempting to stall the sentinels from preventing Bishop and Kitty Pride to teleport into the past—with each mutant ready to sacrifice their lives for the cause. Wow!
The Secret Service
Release date: October 24, 2014
The secret surprise at Fox’s Cinemacon panel shocked attendees as director Matthew Vaughn shared a sneak peak of his work based on the graphic novel. A scene starring Colin Firth (Jack) and Taron Egerton (Eggsy) was shown of the their respective characters getting familiar with each other, then leading to a sped-up brawl at a pub where Firth takes out an entire gang as the temp music from the James Bond movie Thunderball plays in the background. As the leader of an independent intelligence agency, Jack brings Eggsy along for the ride as they venture out to destroy the villainous threat played by Samuel L. Jackson. It already sounds amusingly entertaining.
